The Phi Phi Islands, pronounced “Pee-Pee,” are a group of six islands located in the Andaman Sea of Thailand. They lie 45 kilometers southeast of Phuket and 40 kilometers southwest of Krabi.
This island gained worldwide prominence as a filming location for the 2000 British-American film “The Beach.” Its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters are a must-see.
Located on Ko Phi Phi Le, Maya Bay is famous for its picturesque beach and lush greenery. Note that it was temporarily closed for ecological restoration but has since reopened.
Hike up to viewpoints like the Phi Phi Viewpoint or the Viewpoint 2 for breathtaking panoramic views of the islands.
Explore the vibrant underwater world around the islands. Shark Point and Hin Klang are popular dive sites.
Ko Phi Phi Don has a lively nightlife scene with beach parties and fire shows.
Take a boat tour to explore hidden coves, limestone cliffs, and emerald lagoons.
Speedboats are faster but more expensive. They are available from both Krabi and Phuket.
